You’ve been matched with Daniel

My familiar co-rider Falak and I were busy catching up on our entire lives in a quick way when the cab stopped to pick up a third co-rider. That was the first time I met Daniel. We included him in our banter and gave him a quick recap of our conversation. The ride went well with all of alighting on a happy note.

Another morning commute and I had occupied the front seat for additional leg space. I was glued on to my mobile screen when my co-rider entered in the back seat. In a very automated voice, I asked ‘What’s your droop location?’ and there came the reply ‘I think you already know’. That was creepy as hell! I turned around to have a look at who could it be and Daniel it was!

We talked about everything from work to how we met our spouses to the mutual friends that we discovered to ACL reconstruction surgery which was a common factor between him and my spouse. It was a relief to listen to someone demystifying the surgery after having gone through it first hand, with the same cause — football injury.

Some rides can bring so much relief! This was one of those.
